The 19th Annual Poverello Bowl-A-Thon, scheduled for Saturday, August the 8th is building momentum.  Now armed with its’ own website http://poverello.kintera.org/bowl-a-thon participants can now register on-line, find additional members for their team, email family and friends for pledges and donations and even check out an additional webpage http://poverello.kintera.org/tomsmith and pledge donations for Tom Smith, Chief Operating Officer of Poverello shaving off all his hair for an additional $10,000.

The annual event is the largest fundraiser of the year and over the previous 18 years has raised more than $1Million to help feed those with HIV/AIDS.

Also announced for this years Bowl-A-Thon is a live auction.  Poverello’s Fundraising Coordinator Dale Madison stated “this year, we really wanted to do something special and the addition of the live auction produced by the professionals at American Fundraising Auction will ensure a fun filled afternoon.”  Many items such as “Learn to Cook in Tuscany” will be offered during the fast paced auction.  Prospective bidders can go to the Bowl-A-Thon website for an advanced look at many of the items and can actually start the bidding process as the items are posted

For those not online, pledge forms are available at the Poverello office Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.
