Testing & Care
Get connected to providers who understand HIV care, and access medication through our 340B pharmacy program. One visit can open the door to prescription help, food, transportation, and more.
Our EXTRA Care Clinic connects you with providers who understand HIV and make sure your medications are there when you need them. Our team speaks English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
Once you're an active client, our providers can help you:
Stay on top of your medications and your care plan
Get connected to case management and other on-site services
Access chronic condition support (like diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol)
Get physical exams when needed
Poverello operates a 340B pharmacy, a federal program that lets qualifying health centers offer prescription medications at a reduced cost. Because we participate, your medications can come through one of our contracted pharmacies at a lower price, and the savings help fund extra support for our clients.
To qualify, you'll need to be living with HIV, taking PrEP to prevent HIV, or being treated for another STI or Hepatitis. Once you're verified, your medications are ordered through our clinic providers and filled through one of our contracted pharmacies.
Once your program budget is calculated (this can take up to 45 days), you may also qualify for help with:
Rent
Increased grocery distribution
Utilities
Transportation
Other support to help you stay in care and keep your health on track
