Testing & Care

Do I Qualify?

Ryan White Part A helps people with HIV get care, food, and support. Here's how to find out if you qualify, in plain terms.

Eligibility in Plain Language

To qualify for Ryan White Part A services, you generally need to meet three things:

  • You have HIV or AIDS

  • You live in Broward County or Palm Beach County

  • Your income falls under a certain limit

Broward County residents also need to show proof of their HIV status. Palm Beach County residents need to show income at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level.

You don't need insurance to qualify. In fact, Ryan White is meant to be used after any other insurance you have is used up.

A trained eligibility specialist reviews your information and lets you know exactly what you qualify for. You'll need to recertify (prove you still qualify) every six months to keep your services active.
